The Butterfly Project

Via Christine hoorde ik van het "Butterfly project". Het Holocaust Museum Houston wil in 2012 een tentoonstelling houden met 1.500.000 vlinders ter nagedachtenis van de kinderen die verdwenen in de Holocaust.

On Christine's blog I read about the "Butterfly project". The Holocaust Museum Houston wants to hold an exhibition in 2012 with 1.500.000 butterflys to remember the children who perished in the Holocaust.

Kerstkaart

Op de Yahoo groep "Creatief met stempels" is de uitdaging deze maand om blauwe kaarten te maken. Gezien ik zeker nog wel wat kerstkaarten kan gebruiken, heb ik maar een blauwe kerstkaart gemaakt. Stempel is van Odd Bird Planet, met Versamark gestempeld en met wit geëmbossed. De sneeuvlokken is op vellum, door heel de achterkant in te strijken met lijm, komt het papier erdoor.

This month it's the challenge to use blue at the Dutch Yahoo group "Creatief met stempels". Because I still need some Christmas cards, I made a blue one. The stamp is Odd Bird Planet, stamped with Versamark and white embossed. The snowflakes are on vellum. I gleued the whole backsite, so you can see the paper thru it.

Artzy Girlz : Favorite Medium

De uitdaging bij Artzy Girls deze week is je favoriete medium. Voor mij is de embossings poeder. Ik vind het zalig om het te zien smelten en het resultaat is altijd prachtig.

This weeks challenge at Artzy Grilz is Favorite medium. I love to work with embossing powder. I love when you see it melting and the result is always gorgeous.

Kerstset

Een setje kerstkaarten gemaakt. Deze passen ook in de uitdaging van de week bij Created by hand : red and green.

RAK

Vorige week kwam het Zuid Franse vogeltje nog eens langs, met een prachtige RAK van Jacqueline. In het pakje zaten oa. deze cupcake stempels. Ik stuurde het vogeltje terug met deze kaart.

Last week, the South France little bird came by with a beautiful RAK from Jacqueline. In the package these great stamps. I sent the little bird back with this card.

Inspired by Godelieve

Bij Artzy Girlz vragen ze deze week om je te laten inspireren door een blog.

Godelieve is steeds een bron van inspiratie geweest voor mij. Door haar ben ik eigenlijk beginnen stempelen. Voor deze kaart liet ik me rechtstreeks inspireren door één van haar kaarten. Godelieve's kaart kan je hier zien.

Een kaartje gemaakt met een setje clear stamps die ik vorige week bij Pipoos vond voor maar 2,5 euro! En dit zijn nog lang niet alle stempels van het setje. Scrappapier is Basic Grey.

Twinchies

Mijn eerste twinchies! Gemaakt voor een swap. De opdracht was om twee knoopjes te gebruiken.

My first twinchies! Made for a swap. The challenge was to use two buttons on it.

Irisstempels

Vandaag wat gespeeld met mijn irisstempels. Hevige kleuren gebruik ik niet vlug, dus het was wat wennen.

Today I played with my irisstamps. I don't use very much these colors, so I still have to get used to it.

Crazy Amigo - Beestachtig

Bij Crazy Amigo is het thema deze week "Beestachtig". Hét moment om mijn nieuwe stempel, die ik dit weekend bij Verschooten kocht boven te halen. Ik kreeg van Elke ook een fantastische uitleg over hoe je moet sponzen. Het is dus mijn eerste spons-poging. Ik denk dat ik nog veel moet oefenen...

At Crazy Amigo this weeks theme is "Animalistic". A good moment to take my new stamp, I bought this weekend at Verschooten. Elke gave me a terrific explenation how to sponge. So this is my first sponged card. I think I still have to exercise a lot...

Wednesday Stamper - Brown Combo

Bij Wednesday Stamper is de uitdaging deze week "Brown Combo". Ze vragen je te tonen welke kleur je graag met bruin combineert. Bruin vind ik prima te combineren met blauw.

At Wednesday Stampers is the challenge this week "Brown Combo". They ask you to show which color you combine with brown. I love brown and blue.

Crazy Amigo - Kleur

Bij de Crazy Amigo's is het thema deze week kleur. Ik heb voor groen gekozen. Vooral omdat dit past in het interieur van mijn collega voor wie deze kaart is. Hij vertelde gisteren dat hij en zijn vrouw hun vierde kindje verwachten. De stempel is een Irisstempel, verkrijgbaar bij Verschooten. De Irisstempels zijn nu ook ongemonteerd verkrijgbaar.

At the Crazy Amigo's this weeks theme is color. I've choosed green because it fits in the home of my collegue for whom I made this card. He told me yesterday that his wife expect their fourth baby. The stamp is an Irisstamp, you can get them at Verschooten. Now Irisstamps are also available unmounted.

Eindelijk...

Eindelijk nog eens gestempeld! Door gezondheidsproblemen is het er een hele tijd niet meer van gekomen. Ik zou dan ook iedereen willen bedanken die toch af en toe eens kwam kijken en vooral diegenen, die me gesteund hebben. Maar aan een nieuwe Sarah Kay stempel, kon ik niet weerstaan. Ingekleurd met distress inkt. Het effen papier heeft aan de binnenkant een lichtere tint, die zichtbaar wordt als je het papier scheurt.

Finally, I stamped again! Because of some problems with my health, I didn't stamp for a while. I would like to thank everybody, who kept on visiting my blog and who supported me. But I couldn't resist my new Sarah Kay stamp. I colored it with distress ink. The paper has in the inside a lighter color, it becomes visible when you tear it.

Nieuwe winkel Verschooten

Vandaag is de nieuwe winkel van Elke Verschooten open gegaan aan de Lange Nieuwsstraat 12 te Antwerpen. Ik was bij de gelukkigen die bij de opening aanwezig waren. En ik kan het jullie verzekeren, het is meer dan de moeite waard om een bezoekje te brengen!

Today opened Elke Verschooten new shop at the Lange Nieuwsstraat 12 in Antwerp. I was one of the happy few during the opening. And I can tell you, it's really beautiful!

Hi pumpkin

Op Artzy Girlz, is de uitdaging van de week, geen Paterned Paper te gebruiken. Met deze kaart wil ik laten zien, dat een gewone witte achtergrond ook mooi kan zijn. De pompoen is ingekleurd met distress inkt.

The Artzy Girlz challenge of this week is not to use Paterned Paper. With this card, I wanted to show that just a white background can be beautiful. The pumpkin is collored with distress ink.

Met het slechte weer hier, blijven we in kerststemming. Ook hier gebruikte is de Holly Jolly reeks van Flair design.
